I have missed all the activity on DE as well. I do jump on here quite often and have posted some, but receive very few comments even though there have been several views. I'd love to see DE regain its splendor, as those were grand times! Remember how excited everyone would get when they attained a new "level" or "ranking" in the comments status?

News here in KY is that we have gotten Thunder, my Arabian gelding a buddy. A friend of mine had a 10-year old mini-stud that she needed to re-home. She had him running with her full-sized mares and he was getting beat up constantly. So. she gave him to us. His name is Jake, and he is just a little taller than my dog Pyper. Gonna try to post a pic per PG's instructions. Let's see if it works.

Haven't gotten to do a bunch of riding this year, but have found a time or two to crawl into the saddle. Here are some pics from my last ride at Taylorsville Lake. A couple of my friends came to join me for a day ride and Maurice and I camped overnight in our newly remodeled horse trailer. And of course, here are some pics......

My friend, Lynn, on her running QH mare Soft Tail, as she holds the two-year old RMH, Hippy, who was on her very first ever trail ride (and did beautifully). Lynn's husband, Phillip, had to pause for the cause (outside of camera range.....lol)

This is Lynn and Phillip, as well as Hippy.

Even though Thunder was pausing for the cause, too, I thought this was a very good picture of him after we got back to camp.

This is Shiloh, my 13-year-old border collie. She loves to go camping, although I don't know how much longer she'll be able to join us, as she has more and more difficulty getting around. She's still my puppy though!

Here are a couple of young night bandits by our campsite.

And lastly, this is one of my favorite pictures of Thunder

Well buggers, here is one of my favorite Thunder pics (just when I thought I had the hang of PG's nifty image posting instructions, too).

Appygirl, Thunder looks like a keeper for sure, beautiful. A Jake looks a lot like our Sebastion.

And give Shilo a hug from me. Old odgs are precious.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

Nice pics, Darlene! Thunder really looks good.

I know what you mean about the lack of activity on DE. I just hate checking for "Active Topics" and getting nothing. It is discouraging to take the time to post and add pics then get a bunch of views and only a few comments. I know people are busy and there are times that I read a post but don't have time to reply right then. I always intend to get back to comment but sometimes I just don't make it.

There are a lot of photos being shared in this thread that I think deserve their own thread so I propose that any additional pics be in their own new thread. If we did that, the number of threads would increase and we'd have more "topics" to show up so DE would at least appear busier. Maybe we can rekindle that DE comradery!
