WHY Are We Stopping By These Woods On A Snowy Evening??!?
(with apologies to Robert Frost)

What woods these are I do not know.
We're nowhere near the village though.
What's the deal with stopping here
To watch these woods fill up with snow?

Certainly I think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between those woods and hey, a lake
And you know, it's getting dark out here.

I give my harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake;
Let's get back to the stable's heat
And grainy mash and alfalfa flake.

The snow is soft beneath my feet,
But we've got dinnertime to meet,
And miles to go before I eat,
And miles to go before I eat.

Love it! I'm pretty sure Joe has recited it.

Sounds like any typical horse .

Regardless, I've always liked the original that inspired yours. Good work, Plash.

I like it. I think it must be a horse mantra!

Hook(ed)......on Horses

"The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life. " Author: Robert Louis Stevenson
