Found a really good-looking used saddle on ebay, but couldn't find anything at all about the maker. The listing says "Murphy leather saddle"

Anybody knows such a brand??? Thanks!!!

I also have a Murphy saddle. I purchased it in Golden , Colorado about 14 yrs. ago. It is a well made saddle--wished it fit my gaited horse. It is still a beautiful saddle with nice tooling.

I believe it was made in Evansville,IN by leather strap goods makers. They are no longer making saddles.

Hi Sissy, Welcome to the Forum.

Tell us bit about your farm and your animals.

Would love to see a photo of your Murphy Saddle.

I placed my Murphy for sale yesterday at a local tack shop. but I could still post pictures later. The owner of the shop said he had never seen a saddle like this one. The silver conchos have rawhide underneath them. I now live close to Indiana and the shop that made the saddle is still in business and makes primarily strap goods, but no longer make saddles.

I have 4 horses--an old Appendix--26, who is retired now on great pasture which is heaven to him since he spent the first 20 yrs, of his life on a grassless paddock out west. He He taught my daughter to ride:he is still worth his weight in gold. One QH, a western pleasure horse--semi- retired, and a MO Fox Trotter that I ride, and a new 5 yr. old SSH for my husband.
