I really really wish I'd had my camera with me. Pepper is almost entirely white now, and I didn't bother to wash her before going on the local BCHA prize ride today. It was a little warm out, and she jigged some of the way anyway, and ended up pretty sweaty, which brings all the dirt to the surface. When we got back to the trailer, I brushed off as much as I could easily (not much, since it was still wet and caked to her) and then went off to grab the lunch that was provided and see if I'd won any prizes. When I got back, she had spent enough time turning her head and body, either looking where I'd gone or nuzzling her buddy or whatever, that the dirt had dried in vertical wrinkles down her neck and sides. Looked JUST like a zebra. I'll have to remember the camera next time.

Oh my gosh that must have been quite a site, too bad you didn't have your camera. Did you win anything?

Colleen who hopes to have a horse soon.

Thunder, my solid grey (or white), Arabian does the same thing. Who knows, there may be some zebra in them! lol
