We spent about 6 weeks wandering around Idaho, Montana & Wyoming this summer. So much to see and breathtaking scenery...sigh... can't wait to get back! We spent a few days in itty bitty Dubois, Wyoming and I can see why many of the "town" people I met had moved there from other places... Ohio, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina. The ranch families had been there for generations and the newbies worked in town for the most part.

One day, Gary went in search of trout that would bite and I wandered around in town. Lots of cute little shops and friendly owners and clerks. The owner of the photography shop moved from Cincinnati because he fell in love with the town when they drove through on vacation. The couple that had the best BBQ we've had moved from Texas for the same reason. The gal that owns Badland Boot Company and her hubby moved from North Carolina with their horses because...they fell in love with the town and area. The people that owned the campground where we stayed had moved there many years ago after they stayed in that same campground one year!

Anyway...the reason for the post is that in one of the shops the gal running the place and I got to talking horses and as we were swapping stories, I heard this song. It took my breath away. Dave Stamey has been around a long time and I wish I'd discovered him sooner. He's got several catchy horsey songs out but this is my favorite.

Come Ride With Me

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

That is a fantastic song. Neat photos in the video too. Makes me want to saddle up and ride. Next warmer fall day!

I like this one too.

Up early this morning. Clicked on your new favourite song link and just having a coffee listening to Dave Stamey. Can't stop.

My kind of music. Thanks Paintgal.

Come Ride With Me has been one of our favorites for a while now. First saw Dave perform it at the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, NV. He called it his "chick song" and I can see why!
