Nicholas has started the New Year off right with a visit to see Miss Moonbeam.

That's a great start, Hook. Reminds me when my brothers & I started out with our first pony... though we were quite a bit older. Try 4, 6, and 11 years old with me the oldest.

Where were these taken? I thought your son's family was still in Japan.

Ginger, our other two grand children, Takumi and Noah are in Japan for at least another year, hopefully back for a visit in August.

Nicholas is our newest grandson and lives in St. Thomas, about an hours drive away. The photos were taken in our barn yesterday.

Miss Moonbeam was a sweetie with Nicholas. They seemed to hit it off really well. He sure liked the feel of her soft nose.

Sorry about the mix-up. For some reason, I thought you and Fern had only the one grandchild. My mistake .

So glad Moonbeam is taking so well with Nicholas. That type of pony is worth its weight in gold .

So cute, that I had to have my mother over to see! Hope he continues to enjoy riding! I'm sure the other two will enjoy the pony, also, when they come home from Japan for a visit!

their ears almost match! (last photo)

If you can't be a good example, at least be a horrible warning.

Miss Moonbeam was a perfect Jewel. She stood perfectly still like she knew how precious Nicholas was. It was like she was very happy to know he was a child that was going to be her's and was looking forward to some good times.

Her previous owner had grandkids and she gave them rides when they came by.

Sebastion, the black mini, thinks she is the cutest thing that ever was. She is not so sure about him though.

I think animals sense how precious little ones are. I absolutely LOVE the photo of him sitting on her..his "ears" match hers and his sweet little cheeks and those big round eyes! Such a cutie! I hope to find a Miss Moonbeam when the time comes!
