First of all, spare me the hippopotamus! Every single year that song gets stuck in my head!

With that out of the way, a big thanks to Paintgal, Stormie, and Hook, who offered us their Christmas wish lists to put on our site. The "Daily Equine Christmas" page isn't up yet, but it's coming!

Just for a fun discussion...How many of your wish lists include something for the horse? If you could get a box from the Saddle Shop under the tree, what would it contain?

Want me to send you my shipping address?

Yes, probably most of my Christmas list is horse related.

Mine is easy!

I need a complete kit for Lottie. A Barrel saddle (one that fits both Lottie and me), blanket, breast collar, bridle, reins and a set of both front and back boots.

Are you listening Santa??!!!

What my ponies really want is a 150' by 300' barn complete with indoor arean, round pen, stalls, wash rack, hay/tractor storeage, in door dog runs, and an run in area for the cattle so I don't have to go outside at all for feeding them. Okay so it's not the ponies so much as me. Top it off with a covered walk way from the house...or just put a house inside of it I'm set for winter! I'm sick of winter already but I did have fun watching the ponies play in the snowbanks yesterday. Beivn is quiet the little jumper, Aedan not so much he tries to be a snow plow and push the banks around, of course he doesn't win.

Really what Jazz wants is a round bale a day for the rest of her life.

Hmm...not sure who makes them, but I guess I'd like one of those "Lady Wade" saddles! Love the Wade trees; if only the saddles weren't so heavy...

For the horses, a new leather show and lead halter set, some cookies and a pack of Oster brushes.

For me. A broke horse. lol

I'm afraid that I really don't want much that is horsey. I guess I'm just thankful that I still have both my horses out in the barn, my truck and trailer parked out in front of the barn, and my home. It wasn't that many months ago that I was afraid, by now, that I wouldn't have any of these things. So, what do I want for Christmas more than anything else? A job and better health for my husband is all I can truly ask for. The job may be a bit farther away than Christmas, but hopefully, it won't be long before my wish will come true. Maybe another month or two. We're still working on it.

Hmm, if I could get something from the HorseSaddleShop it would have to be this saddle:

http://www.horsesaddleshop.com/dakotaflextrailsaddle.html

I have even gotten alot of sheets of cardboard out in my truck to make templates for saddle fit. I think everyone may remember how challenged I am with cutting things out (I also have a big box of band aids) but I am determined to get the templates all cut out before 2008!
