Great pictures! Fjords are pretty versatile.

Wonderful pictures! I've never been around a Fjord, but I would love to. I was sitting at work last week, just minding my own business and an instructor that was down for a training class came in to use our copy machine. After the usual small chit-chat, I found out she had horses. One thing led to another and she said she had 3 Fjord horses! I was surprised. The majority of horses around here are QH with a gaited horse thrown in now and then. She said she WON her first horse, a Fjord, at some horse Expo. Isn't that amazing! That, of course, led to the purchase of 2 more. (Sounds like recruiting time to me!) My walking horse is not full-blooded. He was bought at the Flat Shod sale in 2003 in Bowling Green, KY. He's not very big. I think he may be part Morgan. He's bay, about 14.2-3, kind of stocky, thick neck and the softest brown eyes EVER! He has a lot of action in his front and is so smooth! I thank God and my neighbor (who originally bought him there) every single day. Anyway, thanks for posting the pictures. So many horses....so little time!

Becca jane: I was wondering where the instructor lived? I remember they had a fjord give away, I think it was a fund raiser at one of the annual fjord events?? Sounds familiar....

She works in Indianapolis, so I imagine that it is Indy or somewhere close. And I don't remember her name either! I will inquire about it Monday. How lucky can you get! She had no horses and then WON a Fjord!
