I heard tonight that one of my favorite Wyoming horses has passed on. Hooker took my on some cattle gatherings and beautiful trail rides. He was a good horse and I'll miss him when I go back to Wyoming.

It seems like every horse you've spent time with will pull at your heartstrings and have a special place in your heart for the rest of your life. It sounds like Hooker has done just that with you, Budman. May you cherish those memories forever. <<HUGS>>

Hopefully he's out running the range with the mustangs right now.
May the wind blow softly through his mane and the sun shine on his back beyond the rainbow bridge.

I remember you talking about Hooker. Sorry to hear he's gone. I also seem to remember you saying ol' Hooker took Dan on a little rodeo ride one time...or am I remembering wrong?

So sorry about Hooker! He is proof that you don't have to be a horse's owner, to love it and bond with it.

Thanks to all of my DE friends. Yes, Hooker is the one that gave Dan the E ticket ride! He could be a little spooky, I remember a couple times when we were holding the herd on a gather, I would turn around to have a look, out of habit I'd give him a pat on the rump, he always came alive real quick!! None the less, for me he was steady, strong and sure footed and brought me home safely every day.

I'm so sorry!
He sounded like a great horse! Very pretty!
