We had the great privilege of selling a batch of Billy Cook saddles to the US Special Forces in Afghanistan to be used as Combat Patrol Saddles. How cool is that?

Wow!!! Talk about terrific publicity! Glad you could help them out, Chuck. What a great way to support our troops.

Hey that is a good question. I didn't have a clue the military even used horses. Bet they are well trained, that's my assumption.

Awesome! Nice saddle...I was not aware, either, that the military had horses over there!

Congratulations. I can only imagine the work you put in to get the sale. Thanks for posting the picture.

That is overly cool, Chuck! Nice looking saddle, too. It helps to have a photo that big/real/something of a saddle to see it better! That was a terrific sale, congratulations!!! ;-)

Chuck, congratulations on a great sale.
Do you know how many and what type of horses they use?
I was wondering if they follow the lead of the US Forest Service and use Missouri Foxtrotters?

Wow, that sale will be a bit of U.S. history in years to come. Nice looking saddle, too. What kind of horses are they riding over there, any idea? How many saddles did you sell?

We sold them 10 saddles. Not sure on what horses they will be riding, but SPC Ritsema said he would send photos of the saddles on horses in action once they get the saddles to the final location in Afghanistan. The saddles were delivered early this week so they haven't used them yet.

Chuck - that is too cool!!!!

What are these guys going to do - rope and hog tie Bin-Ladin????

The Billy Cook Wade tree has a hard seat but is one of the most comfortable saddles I have ridden in. With the high cantle you fell as secure as if you're sitting on your mama's lap. I would put some bucking rolls on it though...
