Hi All,
I just found this forum and thought it might be fun to join. I am always looking to learn more horsey stuff, and of course I like to talk about my horse. I live in Alberta Canada, and I board my Paint, Phoenix, at my best friend acreage. She has several horses and we co-own a black and white paint, that will be up for sale this spring once we put a few more miles on him. we also co-own a miniature horse named Leo, just cause he is so darn cute. Its the best of both worlds for me, I live in the city and spend lots of time in the country. I grew up with horses and am thrilled to be involved with them again after so many years. Looking forward to all the discussions on this board. TTYL

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I will try to post some pictures, I will have to wait for my daughter to get home cause I'm a computer idiot :-)
I don't know what it is about the Paints, but once you've loved one its pretty hard to stay away from them. I had a Welsh/Arabian paint as a kid, My Dad brought home a mom and son duo, Sonny and Cher were their names (ha ha) We knew nothing about horses, but we learned pretty fast, seeing as Sonny was only green broke. Plenty of falls but way more fun. How did you all get into the love of Horses?

Hello and welcome to .

I grew up in the Cowboy TV era of the 50's & 60's with horses like Roy Roger's Trigger, Gene Autry's Champion, Hopalong Cassidy's Topper, and series like the Lone Ranger, Fury, and My Friend Flicka. Then my step-mom brought home a pony for my brothers and I, and the rest, as they say, is history.

I'm now hot & heavy into foundation Appaloosas.

Hi Paintluvin; Welcome to the forum from another Canadian.

How do you think the paint horse industry will be affected now that AQHA has relaxed the "excessive white rule"?

I do not remember a time when I was not involved with horses. My dad was a logger who used horses to haul logs out of the bush. I was only away from horses during the time I was going to University. Married my child hood sweetheart who had a horse and never been without them since.

Give this a try.
TO POST PICTURES ON THE FORUM
· Open an account at http://photobucket.com
· Click BROWSE on the add pictures screen and upload your picture from your hard drive. This make take some time depending on the size of your picture file
· When the upload is complete right click on the third line down titled “img” then COPY. With my computer I don’t have to highlight, when I right click all of the required file info is highlighted
· Now go to your post on the forum and put the curser where you want the picture.
· Right click, PASTE and you are done.
· Good idea to use preview on forum to check size of the picture. If it is too large go back to photobucket and use the edit function to reduce the size.

Good luck.

Welcome to the Board, Paintluvin. Look forward to sharing horsey information with you. I live in KY and own one horse, a few-spot leopard appy named Hi-Grey. He's a great guy.
