Does anyone maybe know why my new saddle is hurting my legs i have long legs but my moms saddle doesn't hurt my legs just my saddle the sturips are the length they should be i don't know why. it's so bad that sometimes i have to get of and rest my legs in the middle of a ride?

I'm not sure I follow you, but to tell if your stirrups are the proper length on a western saddle, try this:

Mount your horse and take your feet out of the stirrups. Then, without lifting your legs, you should be able to raise just your toes and slip them into the stirrup without moving your legs.

I'm not sure I follow you, but to tell if your stirrups are the proper length on a western saddle, try this:

Mount your horse and take your feet out of the stirrups. Then, without lifting your legs, you should be able to raise just your toes and slip them into the stirrup without moving your legs.

Stirrup width may be it too...the wider ones seem to be easier on my ankles/legs. Other thing, if it is a new saddle, I think Saddle Tramp mentioned how she turns her stirrups with a golf club??? SaddleTramp???? Could that be the problem?
