I am trying to find a barrel saddle but I am not sure the size i would need. I am small I weigh about 85 pound and I am 5'3. Can anyone make any suggestion on a size that would give me aplace to start looking.

I recommend a 14" seat. A good place to start looking is at http://www.horsesaddleshop.com/barrelsaddles.html

I have 13" in a pleasure saddle that what I usually use. Do you still think a 14" barrel saddle. I dont know how much difference there is in them.

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. If you are comfortable in a 13" seat, then stay with it. I took your height and type of saddle into consideration. The typical barrel racing saddle has a 5" cantle which will give you less seat room. With all other things being equal, the taller you are the larger the seat size you will need.

I'm sure you read that the seat guide is a general guideline. What works for one person may not work for another. I still recommend a 14" seat for a person your size in a barrel racing saddle.
