Nice, Ginger. I really like the fact that, even though it is a stock trailer (of sorts), it does have real windows that close on the side where their faces are.

Thanks ILJ, and I wish I could answer your question, but I don't know that much about Corn Pro. I just know that, like you, I love this trailer. And you can't beat the price if you don't mind having a steel trailer over an aluminum one. We looked around A LOT, and this was the best bang for the buck. One thing we found out in a big hurry is that good used bumper pulls are hard to come by and that they don't stay on the market long.

All I know is, you can ALWAYS find a buyer for a good CornPro! Wish I'd not had to sell my old one last summer, but money was tight, thanks to lots of horse injuries, a busted saddle, and a car wreck!

They are good, sturdy trailers; mine was 12 years old when I sold it, and had never needed any repairs.

Your wish is granted, dear lady.

Once again, this is the front end of the trailer from inside the tack room. I bought the plastic storage drawers at Wal*Mart. They sure are nice for storing all my personal items:

How do you like my bedroom so far ?:

I stored all the horsey stuff and camping odds & ends near the divider wall:

Since some of you showed interest in this, to the left side of the divider wall is how I set up my portable hook rack on the blanket bar. It's great for my helmet, horn bag, or coats, jackets, and such with the permanent hooks for bridles, breast straps, halters, lunge lines, etc.:

And like I said earlier; Plenty of room for a couple hay bales in the back and still haul my horse. The tarp keeps the hay dry when traveling in bad weather. It sure came in handy with that cloud burst I encountered going around Indy going home from MTR last Sunday:

Okay, I do believe I've bored everyone enough with my trailer pics now . Hope you enjoyed the tour .

Nice, NICE Trailer Ginger. Well worth the wait. I am sure both you and Tera will enjoy the added room and comfort on your road trips.

I like this shot of it hooked with up to your truck with both horses and the dog. Nicely balanced look.

It looks great!

I have a smaller version of the Wallyworld drawers in the Short Bus and have found they work themselves open so I'm going to run a bungee cord or maybe an old belt around from front to back. It's up a lot higher than your drawers so probably gets a lot more motion as we bounce along.

I think it was Jill who mentioned that one of those big contractor trash bags is perfect for a regular sized bale of hay. I haven't had a need to find out yet but have used tarps which get the job done. Unfortunately, they can also flap around and work themselves loose. You could probably use magnets to stick to the inside if you need more places to hang stuff.

You're going to get a lot of use out of that set up! Congrats again.

7 years ago my daughter brought home a black lab / blue healer mix puppy. The puppy was very cute but the lab/heeler mix was intense. My daughter named her Tiki and I threatened to shoot Tiki at least once a week during her first year. She ate the cover off the grill, chewed up a wicker chair and ate the better part of a pop can. She grew on us and we found she LOVED (I mean this dog had a SERIOUS addiction) to chase sticks. Throw it any where and she would bring it back for more. If you wouldn't throw the stick, she would throw the stick at you. To lengthen the time between throws, we got inventive with throwing, making it land in places where she would have to go around fences and through gates to retrieve it. Throwing it on things, like the hay wagon, also slowed her down, but not for long. It seemed natural to take her with us camping and riding and Tiki LOVED it. She ran at least twice as far as we rode, running up the trail and back and chasing things along the way. We also found that she could jump high enough to give you the stick while you were sitting on a horse. Throw the stick in a pile of downed limbs and she would bring back the exact stick you threw. In the campgroud, children loved her, she kept bringing that stick back, no matter how many times they threw it. On more than one occasion I turned down money from people who wanted to buy her.

Last night I held her while she crossed the rainbow bridge. This morning I buried her next to my good mare I buried 2 years ago - those two covered a lot trails with me. I am still in utter disbelief that Tiki is gone, she was one of a kind and I miss her so very much.

Rest in peace my very good girl - I miss you

So sorry for your loss. **Big Hugs**

Every time I read about one of us losing our pet, it always brings tears to my eyes for those I have loved and lost and those I'll lose in the future.

Will we stop bringing pets into our lives that we WILL outlive time and again, and go through this heartbreak time and again?

YES !!

Each one of our beloved fur friends make it worth the risk.

It is incredible how a dog, cat, or horse can worm their way into our hearts. Remember those good times with Tiki, Juli. Keep them close to your heart and never let them go. There is no better way to keep our animal family members alive inside of us for the rest of our days.

They sure do take a piece of us when they go. I hope the thoughts in this poem from an unknown author will give you a bit of comfort.

I Stood By Your Bed Last Night

Author Unknown

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.

I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you, that I'm not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled with the key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said "It's me."

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.

It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away"

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning
and say "goodnight, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out... then come home to be with me.

A lovely poem Hook! Thank you for sharing. Yes, it does bring comfort (and tears). Thanks everyone for your hugs and words, they also bring comfort. I so miss that dog!

I took my other 3 to the vet yesterday and he gave them all a clean bill of health. We will never know what took Tiki so suddenly (I was far to upset to be thinking rationally and inquire about the cost of a necropsy) but I am resting easier knowing that the other 3 are all healthy.

Juli I feel for you so much, having been on this same journey a week ago with my old spaniel, I read your story and Hooks poem with tears streaming down my face, just be glad that you were with her to the end and you know without doubt that it wasn't a painful or horrible way as so many less fortunate animals suffer.

The horse flies are brutal this year. I use Endure which works fairly well. I've also been known to spray a little OFF on Joe's legs and neck and rump and I carry a fly whisk so I can brush off any that land on him. If we get into a pack of them, I'll keep the whisk moving over his rump & head in a big circle and that seems to keep them off as well.

I'm thinking about carrying a fly swatter so I can do more than brush them off. LOL!

I guess I will cancel my October reservation, then! The weekend of Sept. 25th is my parents' 60th wedding anniversary, so I certainly wouldn't want to be away during that time! RH hadn't planned on coming to the October ride, and I am not too keen on riding on my own.

I'm not positive, but I think Juli meant she moved her dates from the July DE Ride to the weekend of the CMO event. Maybe Juli can clarify that for us.

I just need to know if anyone is planning to be at MTR Oct 1-3. If everyone has changed their minds, that is okay; but it would be nice to know enough in advance for me to make other plans. Got an invitation to camp with another group at a different location.

I have reserved site 21, which is across from the cabins, if you & Jason were planning on getting one. That is probably going to be a big weekend, because the Back Country Horsemen will be having their ride and a membership drive. Please let me know as soon as you can, if you are definitely coming! Unless I know for sure that I will NOT be by myself, I will go ahead & make other plans.

Wendy, I would have no problem with that, EXCEPT that my folks 60th wedding anniversary is the 25th. There's just no way I would NOT be there for them that weekend!

Thanks for the great pictures and wonderful commentary! I love seeing your new trailer "in action", was this the inauguration trailer ride? I bet it pulled nicely!

Yes, this was what I call "The Maiden Voyage" for my new trailer. I can't get over how smooth it pulls and stops even if the truck has to work a smidge harder speeding up or on large hills. It still didn't make much difference in the gas milage. Bill Zahm told me it wouldn't since both my old trailer and the new one have the same type of front end. I also had my old break control replaced with a new one. I'm sure that's where the difference was in stopping.

I was once told that the longer the trailer, the easier it is to back it up. How true. I do believe that's because a longer trailer will turn slower when backing and give the driver more time to compensate for mistakes.

EZ & I also thought it humorous that Terra never tried to go straight to the trailer after coming back from any of our rides. I think she's still looking for the old WW. After all, she's ridden in it most of her life, but once she's in our new one, she seems perfectly fine.

It was muddy, and we had to go over or around a lot of downed trees. It sure made me thankful that I had an experienced trail horse under me!

As much as I'd have liked to have taken Butterbrickle, I figured it would be unwise, all considered (heat, muddy trails, etc.). Maybe later!

RH and I were very comfortable in our trailers. Many times, I've had people ask how I can stand it during hot weather, what with no air conditioning. But, after thinking about it, I'm guessing that it is MUCH hotter in the nose of a gooseneck, than in the dressing room of a bumper pull! With either an electric or battery-operated fan, I've gotten along just fine.

Thanks for the update and pictures. Glad you and EZ had a great time. Good planning around the heat.

The two trailers made a very nice camping area.

Surprised to see how slow MTR was that week end.

Not to whine, but JUST LOOK AT THIS TOPIC! What hubris! "I'm going to try to ride MORE." Sheesh. **forehead slap**

Hasn't happened. The Ohio River Valley here is a sauna, rain most every day, addding to the tropical atmosphere. Crummy, just crummy.

However, I'm planning (aren't I always "planning?!" huh, Tag?!) some riding. We're hauling to Colorado to ride next month. I say this at the risk of jinxing it. If it comes to pass I'll post pics. Then Mammoth Cave in KY for Sept and Big South Fork (yet again) in Oct.

Anyone else making autumn plans?!

If you can't be a good example, at least be a horrible warning.

No fall plans, really, except for the ITRA ride, and MAYBE the Oct. DE ride, if it turns out that anyone else is planning on being there.

I can't believe it is nearly August already, and I've not gotten out on the trails at all that much!

Around noon today, I got a phone call from my neighbor who said Rocky had a cut on his belly. I had just today moved him to the far pasture with Jasper who's been in solitary after kicking Tag last week. I grabbed a halter and ran to get him thinking it was probably a scrap.
Here's what I saw:

I'm pretty sure Jasper got him cornered and kicked him. The vet came out took one look and said he'd really like to treat that at the clinic using stocks, so we hitched up and headed in. Three hours later, one drain, countless stitches and silver bandage stuff, Rocky is now an inpatient at least until the drain comes out.

Dang! It has not been a good year for my four legged friends. And Jasper may be for sale.

The more I look at the pic, Nancy, the more I think it looks like the mechanism of injury is sideways or downwards. I just can't imagine that it was from a kick from a nonshod horse. Looks like a gait latch or fencepost. However, we need to call in the Equine CSI to find out the truth!!

In any case, he'll heal just fine and be good as new, especially with your excellent care.

Horses are such a joy and a challenge. I have a vet book that says they're constantly looking for an inconvenient place to commit suicide!

OMG, what a shock it had to have been to see that! Why can't horses spread things out a little, and not have everything happen all in one year??? So the vet now has a Porsche; not surprised, since I paid last year for his kids to go to college!

I agree with Dunny, it does NOT look like a kick. Not at all, and especially not from an unshod hoof. I didn't notice Jasper having shoes on the back. Does he?

It looks more like a slice...like he got too close to something sharp. Could there be any old metal posts sticking out of the ground somewhere in their pasture? It looks a lot like the type of injury Annie had.

Hope he heals quickly and well! Please keep us informed of his progress.

I don't think that's from a kick either unless Jasper has switchblades in his shoes or he has a loose nail.... maybe. Jasper may have cornered him and in an attempt to escape, he snagged something or maybe he picked just the right spot to roll in and there was something that got him. He might have been trying to rub a fly off and rubbed against a broken branch on a tree or against a post. Horses find creative ways to hurt themselves. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery.

I know what you mean by supporting vets! I've built an addition for my vet and paid for all 3 kids to go to college.

Sorry EZ, I was speaking tongue in cheek! He doesn't drive a Porsche yet! But between Tag's abscess, torn tendon, & eye injury, the dog dying and now this, he's getting a lot of my retirement funds!

I searched the pasture for evidence and couldn't find anything. The neighbor had told me they were kicking each other when he called, but he later told me that he had noticed the wound before the kicking, so it could have been a tear on something. In any case, Rocky is scared of Jasper which probably is the problem.

Right now, I have 3 unhappy horses. I'm keeping Jasper at the old horse barn since he kicked Tag last week, Tag is alone in the new barn, whinnying for Rocky and Rocky is at the vet's. I'm thinking I'll sell Jasper, since I can't seem to integrate him into the herd.
He's a great horse to ride, but needs a bold strong horse to put him in his place. This is just too much work.

As you might remember, Kip is the top of our pecking (biting, kicking) order. When we had Jake, Kip really disliked him. It was mostly biting. I put them in separate pastures and put some temporary panels up in the big barn run-in to keep them separate. I wonder why Rocky can't get away from him very well. They have plenty of room, don't they? And no corners or narrow aisles?

I can't exactly remember your pasture, but just divide it and keep Jasper separate. You could give him a different way into his stall or the barn so they don't mix. Or make him stay outside. He'd be fine with water and shade.

When it cools off and you start riding the hair off him, he'll probably mature quickly and get more manners.

Some fun, huh?!! Glad to hear Rocky is doing well at the vet's.

If you can't be a good example, at least be a horrible warning.

Poor Rocky. POOR Nancy!!! Very reminiscent of Annie's injury.
I think I would faint right out in the pasture if I walked out and saw that big gaping hole in either Joe or Rocky's side. My Gawd.
I agree with some of the others who suspect Rocky cut himself on something else getting away from Jasper.
Poor lonely Tag. :(

It is weird! And I'm kind of surprised that Jasper is so dominant. Not always, but usually, age counts for something. At least, it seems to with mares; maybe geldings are different!

How long is Rocky expected to be in the hospital?

Wow, what a scary thing to have happen. For what its worth, I agree with the others, it doesn't look like a kick but more like a tear.

EZ I find that little boys are brats. Picture a group of 10 year old boys in a playground. Lots of rough housing and rolling around, with a few fights thrown in.

Last year Cruiser and Flyer were both covered with bites - big hunks of hair and some skin missing. This year they are better but they still run and chase and leap and kick and bite. I find as boys get older they settle down. Girls never seem to go through that stage, but they are more inclined to kick and mean it.

I wonder if Jasper isn't just trying to find someone to play roughhouse with him?

I agree that age has nothing to do with a horse being dominant. I read somewhere that this dominance has everything to do with the horse's dam. She's the one that teaches her foal these things. And if she happens to be the alpha mare in a group, the foal will be too.

Dove was 9 years younger than Warrior but had no problem taking over as alpha from him. He's always been alpha, and I bet his momma was too. Warrior had learned to bluff from his close association to my mare, Wimp, from the time he was a yearling. He was a coward at heart. Dove wasn't. He knew he was boss and had no problem proving it to Warrior in very short order.

We found the culprit and it is a gate bolt. We have two gates hung on opposite sides of the same post. When the right gate is open, the bolt sticks past the gate about an inch. Just enough to catch and tear skin. I think they came running up the hill side by side squeezing unsuccessfully thru the gate opening even though it is at least 12 feet wide. Rick sawed it off as soon as we found it.

I am so glad you found that bolt and removed it!

Something similar happened at the boarding stable Joe and I were at when I first bought Joe, a beautiful palomino named Taz had a bolt just like that puncture into his chest and it hit an artery. Some of the boarders helped rush him to Rood and Riddle, with one riding in the trailer with his hand in the horses chest trying to stem the blood flow.
Unfortunately Taz did not survive the enormous amount of blood lost.

Yes, I owe him an apology! I did see him double barrel Tag several times last week, cutting Tag's hock and scraping his hip, so I don't trust him with Tag. Tag wants to be boss, but can't move very fast and I think his vision is limited, so he's no match for Jasper. Jasper & Rocky have gotten along ok, although he pushes Rocky around and they go racing around the pasture. Rocky will not challenge anyone. He's doing fine right now, by the way. He should come home on Monday barring complications, but stall rest only. They don't want him busting a gut!

I am glad to read the Rocky is doing well and will get to come home soon! Isn't it amzing what they will find to tear themselves up on? Sometimes I think they do it on purpose and then place bets on how long it will take their humans to figure out how they did it! I will hold good thoughts for a speedy recovery.

I could bring Tuff over for a couple of weeks and let him put Japser in his place LOL Tuff is a complete BRAT and has been alpha over every horse he is with, sometimes it's a pain in the tush.

Ya know...there are a lot of different ways of keeping horses, and it varies by region, what you have available, etc.

Here, it is common to keep horses turned out with each other, either in the daytime and stalled at night, or out 24/7.

Back when I lived in Colorado, most of us who boarded our horses, had either a stall and paddock, or a paddock with a run-in shed, and that's what the horses were kept in. Rarely were the horses turned out together. Exercise was from riding, lunging, or being turned out into the arena for awhile. And the horses were perfectly fine and healthy with this arrangement! It is not as if they were totally alone and never saw other horses; they could touch & communicate through the fence if they wanted to.

What I am trying to say is that if Jasper is working out for you in other ways, don't let this be the deciding factor. He will learn to adjust to being in a separate paddock/pasture, if that is what is necessary for everyone to be safe.

Kudos to your neighbours and your fast action in getting Rocky to the vet so quickly. Doesn't look like any internal problems like Annie so I am hoping you will be pleasantly surprised just how fast horses can heal. Also a good thing the scar will not be under the saddle.

A good lesson here for us all. GO DO A THOROUGH CHECK OF YOUR HORSE STALLS AND TURN OUT AREAS FOR ANY LOOSE BOARDS, NAILS, AND ANY OTHER SHARP PROJECTIONS THAT COULD INJURE A HORSE. Take any equipment, rakes, plows, stored stuff etc out of any areas where a horse can walk free or while being lead. Look around as you walk or lead you horse and say to your self "If my horse spooked, in any direction or got loose is there any thing they could get caught on or run into". Those stored wheelbarrows have steel legs just perfect to do some real damage if a horse got tangled in one.

My games mare "Sugar had a three inch gash in her nose that required stitches from from a small nail that happened to protrude into her stall about 1/4" that had been invisible prior to the cut. Small things can still do significant damage.

Be proactive and let this incident with Rocky be a warning about how careful we must be and particularly when we make any changes.

Amen. Some areas are easier to police than others. We live on a 306 acre farm; it's almost impossible to cover everywhere. We do, however, always keep our eyes open for possible disaster-causing objects. Just a couple of days ago I noticed and removed a small piece of wire sticking out from a fence post....probably been there more than 20 yrs.
It's also worth noting that we all have to be mindful of dominant horses. When we go out of town and I leave instructions to someone horse-sitting, I make certain I explain that the dominant horse gets put IN first, but get's let out of his stall LAST. I also make it a point to tell the sitter that while none of our horses would hurt you for anything, they're more afraid of the horses above them in the pecking order, and will unintentionally run over YOU to get away from THEM.

I'm so glad Rocky is doing well. You won't even be able to tell where he was hurt in a surprisingly short time.

If you can't be a good example, at least be a horrible warning.

Rocky is doing ok. He came home on Monday and is on stall rest. The vet is coming next Monday to possibly take out the sutures.
We leave on Wednesday for Yellowstone, so I'm concerned about him busting open while we are gone, but the vet said he'd evaluate and he'd do what is best.

I am looking for break away halters for the boys. I had an issue where Joe scratched his head with his back foot while tied, got his foot over his cotton lead, and his rope halter stretched but did not break. A few seconds of panic led to a nice rope burn that is still weepy.

I tie the boys when I give them hay and grain so Rocky can get his fair share before Joe vacuums his and Rocky's in record time.

SO my question is....

1) who uses them ? and

2) Do you prefer the tab that breaks or the replaceable leather head piece?

I have never used the breakaways because our guys go out without one and then put in stalls to eat.
However, my vet has a couple porky horses that need limited grass time so she uses the breakaway halters and the muzzle.

She like the one with the breakaway crown piece, and keeps a couple extra on hand because they do break pretty easily.

I have used the breakaway halters with the leather crown piece. I quite using them because it seems like I was always replacing the leather crown piece, it does do it job, perhaps a bit too well.

I have this 15" Simco saddle but I'm not liking the clearance at the withers on my horse. Without a saddle pad on and without me sitting in the saddle, I have 1 1/2 finger clearance. I measured the gullet and it's 6". Which seems very narrow to me. I think I need a different saddle with different bars. Do the numbers on the saddle tell me what bars and tree are in the saddle?

The billet keeper is taged 4070. Stamped under the stirrup leather are the numbers 452 977. Under that is stamped for pleasure riding only, not for roping.

I really would like to get a qualified saddle fitter out but I've had no luck in locating one in my area.

My computer is giving me fits and I can't seem to be able to attach pics. I can e-mail them to you if you need them.

Thanks for any help.

Oops! Haven't figured out what to tell the hubby about the third horse in the pasture! My farrier came this morning real early and put front shoes on Gotone and he told me one of his clients had a 2 year old gaited something or rather that they was selling for 200. I promptly told him I was broke But asked a few questions anyway cause ya never know who I might see looking for a horse>
He told me who it was and I groom their dogs.I was good and went for my morning ride got lost and was out a little longer than planned btu had a great ride, stopped at Wal-greens and there was Mary and told me to come look at her horse since she lived right down the road(evil farrier let her know I might call).45 minutes later I was loading him on my trailer.Cute bay with a star and sweet personality, loves to lay his head on you and will practically roll over for scratching. He is a rocky mountain-foxtrotter cross. Wish me luck with the husband

Way to keep the economy moving BethAnn.

How about telling hubby you found him in the pasture, and you know how people are about dumping horses.

Or how about "Look what followed me home from my ride, lets keep him until someone comes looking"

Or "What are you talking about, I don't see any extra horses out there. Are you ill dear'.

I am sure everyone else can help you come up with some really good ideas.
Congratulations, I hope he turns out to be a super horse for you, and good luck with the hubby!!!

I know and even better one, Tell hubby you bought him a horse, because they are both so sweet and deserve each other.

I have tried to get pictures and might have a good one or two will have to look and remember how to use my photobucket.
Mark handled the addition pretty good since he has the perfect back for a sidesaddle!
The girls have established their side of the pasture and he takes baby steps towrd the until they get ruffled but is working his way to them.

Great pics!

Love the one of Gotone & Angel. That's a turtle head sticking out of the water and the mushroom is gorgeous! Do you know what kind it is?

and... RIVER is beautiful! I love his head and he looks like he's got some size to him (i.e. wider than a fence rail ). How tall is he?

The snapping turtle was huge, that is a watermelon to his right and he made it look small! If I can find it I will put a better picture of him here.
River is almost 15 hands and he was 2 on July 4th, he is gonna be a big boy! I am going to start training him this week-end to be handled so I can spray fly spray, load, and all the basics. He has only been halter trained.

I do believe we all remember that first horse we bought with our own money, brought home, and called our own. Even though we may ride better ones, that very first horse will always carry a special place in our hearts. At least that's what Wimpy did for me, and she was the inspiration for this poem.

Rest easy, old girl, I loved you then and I love you now even more with all the wonderful memories of our times together:

THE BLUFF

By Ginger Karns

The air felt thick enough to swim, temps on the higher side,
But here I stood prepared to catch my mare for one more ride.
I found her in the tramp shed’s shade, trying to stay cool,
Her yellow coat stained damp with sweat made me feel like a fool.

“Hello old friend,” I greeted and gave her neck a stroke,
“I promise to be easy, and I’ll even let you poke.”
I tied her to the old hitch rail out in the hot barnyard,
And let the saddle sit its rack, my mare was just too warm.

Instead I grabbed her bridle and slipped it o’er her ears,
Then led her to the old tree stump and swung up with no fears.
Her back felt sticky while I sat and brushed hair from my shirt,
My shorts now smelled like sweaty horse, my rear black from the dirt.

What did I care, the time had come to ride the forest path,
After all my clothes would wash and I could take a bath.
To my dismay the forest air never gave a breath,
My mare’s feet moved like leaden weights, the woodland still as death.

What kind of brute would ride a horse on such a humid day?
My mare was hot and damp with sweat, no reason should we stay.
“All right,” I said. “I get the point.” And turned the way we’d come.
To my surprise she walked the same going back as coming from.

Once more we stood behind the barn, the field grass brown and dry,
I slipped the bridle off her head, she let out one long sigh.
A final pat upon her neck, she stopped not far away,
Just me and my old mare as we took in another day.

And then she squealed and spun around to kick out like a mule,
I stood in shock and watched her run and felt like such a fool.
Her bluff had worked, I’d let her go, she’d tricked me fair and square.
But even so you must admire the smarts of that old mare.

ROFLOL !

I think I've changed my mind.

I've been doing some exploring on cowboypoetry.com and have just finished submitting THE BLUFF. I figured why not? I might as well give it a go and see what happens . From what I read, it takes, I think, eight weeks to find out if you've been accepted for publication.

Well, in size, anyway! It is Warsong's 11th birthday, and she got a new fly mask. I finally found one that fits her, and it is in the yearling/large pony size.

I guess you could say my little girl grew up, but never actually GREW!!

LOL, she gets the night off tonight; it is WAY to hot to do much, anyway!
